Ivan has been an active venture capital investor in start-up businesses both in Europe and in the US for over 12 years. His investment interests include infrastructure and enterprise software applications, consumer Internet products and services, and mobile internet technologies. He currently serves on a number of portfolio company boards including Gomez (USA), Fenestrae (Hol), Handmade Mobile (UK), Mobango (Ita), Plazes.com (Ger), and he is an observer director on the board of Garlik.com (UK). He previously was a member of the Supervisory Board of Tridion (Hol) an enterprise software company acquired by UK-based SDL Plc in May 2007 for $94 million. Ivan joined Doughty Hanson Technology Ventures in 2000 from Deutsche Bank Venture Capital in London, one of the venture investment vehicles of Deutsche Bank, where he completed several investments in enterprise and infrastructure software, communication equipments and internet products and services companies. Prior to that he was a member of Deutsche Morgan Grenfell’s London-based TMT investment banking team advising leading European technology companies in corporate finance and M&A transactions. Ivan began his career at strategy and management consulting firm Bain & Co, where he worked both in Italy and in the US, for clients in the telecommunication, manufacturing and financial services sectors. Ivan holds a degree in finance and business management from the Università Commerciale Luigi Boccon in Milan, Italy, a degree from the Ecole Superieure des Sciences Economiques et Commerciales in Paris, France and a MBA from INSEAD, in France. He is fluent in English, French, Italian and Spanish. In his spare time, Ivan enjoys fly fishing and practices martial arts.
